Welcome to the world (early), babies!
Thursday, September 4 at 5:29 PM and 5:30 PM Reese Abigail and Riley Grace came into this world… a bit earlier than expected! After a routine dr. appointment that morning, we found that Riley’s blood flow from the umbilical cord was not sufficient and her heart rate was dropping very low. She was measuring much smaller than Reese. I’ll give the longer story later… So, the dr felt we needed to go ahead and deliver….
The girls are doing well. They are in NICU since they were born at 30 weeks, but are doing well. They are being given extra air and being treated for some typical preemie things (ie regulating body temp, low blood pressure, etc). We keep praising God for all he’s done and will continue to do. We have seen them lots and gotten to touch them and talk to them and hope to hold them soon. Please pray for our sweet miracles. They are ADORABLE!!! We love them so much already.
Reese Abigail born Thursday, September 4, 5:29 PM, 3 pounds, 15 inches long
Riley Grace born Thursday, September 4, 5:30PM, 2 pounds 3 ounces, 14 inches long

Hi Amy!
I heard the news and have not stopped thinking about you. I was wondering how things were going and how the twins were. I have been praying for those precious angels, as I know what it is like to have sweet babies in the hospital. I will keep you guys and your angels in my prayers. Congrats on those precious girls and I can’t wait to see more pics.
We are praying lots!!! We know what it feels like to have babies a little earlier than expected.

Hi Amy and Richie! Congratulations! The girls are BEAUTIFUL! They look great and I know they will be well taken care of. I know it must be so scary and happy at the same time, but I also know you two can handle what has come your way – and I will be praying for your family. I hope you’ll let me check in on this great website often and watch the twins grow…wow – TWINS! Best wishes always!
Warmly,
Heather (class of ’98 with Richie and Jennifer)

The girls are absolutely beautiful! We can’t wait to meet them soon. You have been in our prayers all weekend and will continue to be. It must be so exciting and scary at the same time, but I can tell from the pictures that they’re strong and will grow quickly. Much love from us to your family.
